::Topher can, on occasion, be found spending time in the more wooded areas of binghamton (there are many), usually in either the form of a common raven or an eastern wolf, a little more rarely as a human. He seems satisfied with the area, but is rarely in any one place for long::

You know, this place is awfully creepy. Ever get the feeling that you're being watched?

::whenever that feeling comes about Topher's ears will prick up and he'll use every skill (alertness, awareness, hunting, survival, etc) to try and pick out what's around him. If he can't determine specifics, gangrel-birdman, attorney at caw.::

Awareness gives you that creepy feeling on the back of your neck. You're certain someone else is around.

::ears prick up as Topher looks around for someone in the area. A faint red glow tints his thick, dark glasses.::

Nah, nothing more than a homeless guy.

No, he's not as creepy as what you were feeling.

Everyone's right. This place IS a cesspool.

::Topher carefully marks the uncomfortable places on his map, even occasionally venturing into the more civillized areas to test the depth of the corruption. This is accomplished slowly, as every few nights he feels the urge to explore a different part of the state.::

The suburbs feel a lot better. Well. Okay, let's be honest, it's watered down, middle class, white suburbia. You know, with the white picket fence, the 2 cars, a dog, and 2.5 kids. Yeech. At the very least you don't feel like the city, where the urban sprawl itself is going to try to eat you.

The worst places are truly in the heart of the city, factories, warehouses, corporate offices. They just feel so wrong, so claustrophobic and smothering. The people there seem sad and pointless, going through the motions because they have to, because they have a mortgage and taxes, children, and need to put food on the table; they don't have hope, they don't plan on moving up in the world, they're doing this because they have no other choice. Even their blood tastes a little bland.

At one point, while you're human-shaped, a very rough and dirty looking man will approach you, holding out his hand. "Hey, Cyclops, got any spare change?"

He doesn't look homeless, but he's definitely worse for the wear...okay, and he smells like he hasn't showered in a month or four.

::Topher will feel around in his pockets while eyeing the man warily from behind his sunglasses. Noticing that hey, there's a few loose coins in one of his pockets he'll pull them out and toss them towards the excitable pre.... human. Clearing his throat, as if refreshing his mind on how to speak...::

"I'm not all that much better off than you buddy, but I'm new around here. What's going on around these parts?"

He shrugs as he pockets the change. "Thanks, man. Not too much, not too much. Seems to be a lot a' new faces around, though. There a con goin' on? Got my web turned off, got no idea what's happenin' anymore, ya know?"
