1 Any book item =< +2 traits 3 weeks
2 And book item 2 weeks
3 Any book item 1 week
4 Book item with one bonus* 2 weeks
5 Book item with two bonus* 4 weeks
6 Book item with one modification**, two bonus* 6 weeks
7 Book item with two modifications**, two bonus* 8 weeks


Only two different Crafts 5 items can be created within one month.

*Bonus (Limit one of each type) – +1 trait, -1 neg, +1 health level on armor, Puissant proof, special quality (i.e. High Caliber, Mass Trauma), lower one concealability level, halve crafting time

**Modifications (Limit one of each type) -
no penalty -> remove one negative trait
+1 negative trait -> +1 positive Trait
+1 negative trait -> change type of damage (i.e. lethal to aggravated)
+1 negative trait -> +1 level of damage

When utilizing this chart, select the level of craft you intend to use on the object and use the information present in that row. For example, crafting an object using Crafts 5 would allow a standard book item with two bonus selections crafted in 4 weeks time. Bonuses or modifications are not cumulative.

How do you receive crafts 6 and 7 items?
The only way allowed is by being a Toreador and burning permanent social traits, as per their clan packet. It’s expensive, but allows crafting of superior items above and beyond that of other clans.

How many different types of crafting can be implemented in the item?
If you have Crafts (Metallurgy) and Crafts (Blacksmithing) both at 5, you’ll only be allowed to implement one type of item creation effect on the weapon. Unfortunately, this is strictly game balance. In a network that allows up to 8 XP a month, if a dedicated player wanted to take 20 different crafting abilities specializing in one sword, it wouldn’t be that prohibitively expensive. We’ll find other ways to reward him for being an expert craftsman other than allowing super-flying-spirit-7-lethal-18-trait weapons.

Also, there’s a lot of crafts players take other than weapon creation crafts. If you’re a basket-weaver, you’re not getting weaponized baskets usually, so we don’t want the impressive power of crafted items to overshadow the Crafts 5 work of a basket-weaver.
